At Jurlique, we work in harmony with nature. We believe that the land is infinitely more powerful than the lab, cultivating our herbs, and products with intention and respect for the earth. Guided by our seed to skin philosophy, we grow botanicals biodynamically* on our South Australian farm, carefully harvesting and handcrafting them to preserve their potency.
Our mission is to create high-performing, nature based skincare that nurtures both people and the planet. Every product reflects our belief in integrity, mindfulness, and sustainability - ensuring we give back more than we take, while empowering our community to embrace beauty that is honest, authentic, and enduring.
BRAND ORIGINS
Jurlique was founded in 1985 by Dr. Jurgen and Ulrike Klein, visionaries who combined their expertise in biochemistry, botany, horticulture and naturopathy with a deep respect for nature. They chose the pristine Adelaide Hills in South Australia for its pure air, rich soil, and abundant sunlight – an untouched environment perfect for cultivating powerful botanicals. From these beginnings, they pioneered our seed to skin journey.
Today, Jurlique continues to honour this legacy by nurturing botanicals with biodynamic* farming methods and transforming them into natural-based, effective skincare, while holding steadfast to the values that inspired our creation. *Certified biodynamic by ACO Certification Ltd, Australia. Jurlique’s products and farm are not certified by Demeter Association Inc.

Sustainability has been at the heart of Jurlique since the beginning. Our farm is certified organic and biodynamic by ACO, ensuring our botanicals are grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, while respecting the balance of nature. We are committed to reducing our footprint through responsible sourcing, recyclable packaging, renewable energy, and ongoing biodiversity initiatives that protect and regenerate our land.
Becoming a B Corp certified aligns perfectly with our values and strengthens our commitment to being a responsible and purpose-driven organisation. We wanted to hold ourselves, as an organisation, legally and transparently accountable to the highest standards of ethics, impact, and sustainability, and B Corp certification meets our needs. Every step of our process reflects our core value: to create skincare based on the lifeforce of nature, while safeguarding the planet for the next generation.
