Laura’s professional makeup kit has always been cruelty-free, however she is stepping it up by switching out her skincare, makeup and hair products to clean beauty.

A great multi-tasker, The Pod Organics All Over Balm is extremely effective at nourishing both face and body. I have used this hydrating balm on my clients to relieve dry and cracked skin, as a brow gel and it's perfect for cold New York winters. This product features a beautiful mix of my favourite nourishing ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil and Calendula Oil. this balm works to gently soften and soothe the most delicate skin.
This one is definitely a new favorite of mine, particularly coming in to the NYC winter. Creamy texture. Natural lip pigment. And on a superficial level - I LOVED the smooth action of the magnetic packaging - I kept wanting to open and close it!
Luk Beautifood Lip Nourish is full of lovely ingredients like cacao butter, vitamin E and avocado oil, lips are instantly nourished as if feels much like a rich balm. A great combination of moisture and sheer natural cover.
I would use this on clients/talent who love a subtle tint and great hydration. It has just enough pigment to give your natural lip color a little boost. It requires reapplication just as any conventional sheer lipstick does. Overall a lovely product and a great new addition to my professional kit!

What I loved most the Retreatment Botanics Instant Glow Masque was it’s beautiful texture. A gorgeous silky clay that did not dry rock hard and crack, which some do - making you feel 100 years old! I left it on for the recommended 20 minutes and felt a ‘an invigoratin cool tingle’.
Based on other masques I have previously used, I expected to be spending quite a bit of time removing it with a face cloth. Not the case… it washed off seamlessly and left my skin feeling ultra clean, hydrated and fresh. As I’m in my forties, I love products that keep my skin hydrated, that is a definite plus! I used the masque first thing in the morning and my skin felt bright and glowy all day.
The Retreatment Botanics Instant Glow Masque is a product I would definitely recommend to talent to apply at home at the end of a week of makeup applications and long days on set, to hydrate, refresh and renew skin - as well as the restorative benefits that this self-care ritual provides.
I can be difficult to find a highlighter that isn't too shiny - particularly for television or photography. What impressed me about the Inika Illuminiser is that it gives a beautiful 'glow', without the oily or just way too shiny look that often comes hand in hand with this type of product.
Available in two shades 'Dewdropt' - a more bronze tone and 'Starlight' - a cooler pink hue. I have been really pleased with the glow infusing results on the talent I have made up this week - and they have also been commenting on how naturally dewy and glowy they feel!
The packaging is chic and simple. The product itself has a very soft, velvety fine particle texture. Adding this one to my professional kit for sure.

Laura and I started our career together over 20 years ago...
Laura and I met on set at the Channel 9 Studios in Sydney and became fast friends, working and travelling the world together. It is with excitement that I welcome Laura to The Green Edit team. I am thrilled that she is switching out her professional kit to clean beauty and I look forward to sharing the journey with you all as Laura discovers and shares here new clean beauty favourites.
